The Threat of U.S. Intervention in Iran: A Chicago Media Action forum

When: Wednesday, July 13, 2005, starting at 7pm

Where: 77 W. Washington Street, Chicago, (across from Daley Plaza), The First United Methodist Church (The Chicago Temple)

What: This is a panel and discussion regarding the U.S. / Iran relations and policy, and U.S. media coverage of such issues. The scheduled panelists include:

* Stephen Kinzer, New York Times foreign correspondent.

* Hamid Akbari, Northeastern Illinois University professor

* Danny Postel, journalist, critic, and contributor to Opendemocracy.net

* Saman Sepehri, writer with the International Socialist Review

* your host for the evening, Cliff Kelley, Chicago-area radio talk show host, WVON-1450 AM & V103-FM

As with past CMA forums, attendees will be asked to make a suggested donation at the door. No one will be turned away.

Chicago Media Action (CMA) is an activist group dedicated to analyzing and broadening Chicago's mainstream media and to building Chicago's independent media. CMA has organized a renowned series of public education forums, which have included such topics as racism, 9/11, the legacy of Martin Luther King, and the war in Iraq.
