A statewide anti-war demonstration is shaping up. Maybe people in neighboring states want to come as well?
Wisconsin Peace Activist,
We're trying to mobilize a statewide protest of President Bush's visit to Milwaukee this Thursday. Please help us get the word out!
Thanks,

Pres. Bush is coming to Milwaukee this Thursday. If possible, I will be among the citizens exercising my right to express my dissent from our government's immoral policies. It is my hope that the president will be greeted by protests wherever free people are allowed to assemble, but especially in Wisconsin!
BTW: The Bush administration is now on record that the right to bear arms is as important as the right to free speech. (Violence forever!) http://

MMAC: To Welcome President Bush to Milwaukee for Discussion on Social Security
5/13/2005
MILWAUKEE...The White House today announced that President George W. Bush will be coming to Milwaukee next week, at the invitation of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC), to discuss Social Security.
Obviously, were excited that the President has accepted the invitation to meet with our members and let Milwaukee employers and workers be part of this important national dialogue on the future of Social Security, said Tim Sheehy, President of MMAC.
Sheehy noted that the demographic forces driving the discussion on Social Security are also impacting economic growth and workforce development within the metro Milwaukee region.
We currently have more workers retiring than entering the workforce, that poses an enormous challenge for our economy, said Sheehy. Just as the President is looking at the ripple effects of that dynamic on the Social Security system, we have been working to address its affects within our regional economy. I think we share an understanding of the importance of addressing these issues in a proactive fashion rather than merely responding reactively to crises in the future.
The specific location and time of the Presidential visit will be released early next week.
