The Cuban Revolution Today - CORRECTED SCHEDULE

Four talks and DVD presentations by Isaac Saney, author of Cuba: A Revolution in Motion
The Cuban Revolution Today
-- presentations by Isaac Saney

Isaac Saney is the author of Cuba: A Revolution in Motion, a detailed look at the Cuban Revolution since the beginning of the economic crisis that confronted Cuba with the collapse of the Soviet trade bloc until today. This is perhaps the best comprehensive and up-to-date treatment of Cuba. It tells the truth about Cuba -- not as a Paradise on Earth, but an honest reflection of real life and real politics from someone who does know and understand the Cuban Revolution.

Saney's film African Stalinigrad: Cuba And Southern African Liberation documents the decisive role of Cuba in achieving the independence of Namibia and ending racist rule in South Africa. It includes footage of the visit of Nelson Mandela to Cuba and his moving speech in praise of the invaluable contribution of Cuba to the liberation struggles of Africa; the critical 1988 Battle of Cuito Cuanavale and commentary by Fidel Castro.
