Hijackers sought prostitutes before flight
[from in Pakistan]

Washington, October 11, AFP : Four of the 19 hijackers suspected in last month's deadly terror strikes spent their last night looking for prostitutes in Boston, Massachusetts, without success, a newspaper reported.
The Boston Globe, quoting law enforcement sources, said the four hijackers called several escort services September 10 from the Milner Hotel, seeking sex, but didn't make a deal.

"It was going to be really expensive and they couldn't come to a consensus on price, so that was the end of it. Either they thought it was too extravagant or they didn't have enough money left," a law enforcement official told the Globe.

The deal would have set back the four men a total of 400 dollars, the newspaper said.

A Federal Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman in Washington would neither confirm nor deny the report.

"We have rules that said there is an ongoing investigation and we can't comment on an ongoing investigation," FBI spokeswoman Gayle Marcinkiewicz said.

Two flights which originated in Boston were among four fuel-laden airliners hijacked and used as suicide bombs in the worst-ever terrorist attack September 11.
