Hello!
My name is Matt Johnson and I am an undergraduate Theology major at Loyola University Chicago. I am also a member of the Loyola Anti-War Network. I am writing because I wanted to tell your organization that we are having a teach-in in cooperation with other justice organizations on campus such as Loyola Students Against Sweatshops on March 18, 2005. The topic of the teach-in is tentatively violence, whether that be physical violence, structural violence or even economic violence. I am also writing to ask if your organization has anybody that would be willing to speak for a short period of time (anywhere from 10 minutes up) about the topic of violence as your organization percieves it. We need speakers anytime between 11:00am and 6:00pm. Please let me know if you'd be interested in helping in any way, be it by sending a speaker, sponsorship, providing materials to hand out about your organization or all three. We also have tables open in the student union (where the teach-in will be held) if you want to send a representative to talk to students one-on-one. Please let me know what you think.
