Friends, Family, Comrades, and Supporters:

The Chicago Revolutionary Writers’ and Artists’
Collective (CRWAC) cordially invites you to attend
“Fighters and Dreamers,” a multimedia documentary of
the week of resistance to the Republican National
Convention.

The event includes film, sound clips, photos, poetry,
and music, collected at and inspired by the historic
protests against the RNC in New York this past August
and September.

Come join us at Moskow Fine Arts on Saturday, November
6, 2004 as we fight to make sense of the two radically
different futures facing the world at this juncture.
No matter what happens on November 2nd, the will of
the people will NOT be expressed in this election –
join us as we celebrate what happened when the people
gathered in NYC to express their will in the streets,
where the battle for the fate of the planet must be
fought.

“Will this history be written in the language of
deception, repression, deceit and despair by the same
class of rulers, the same vultures who are pecking
apart the people of the world, grinding them under in
their insatiable hunger for empire?

Or will the people's story be written by and
influenced by the dreamers and fighters, those who
have nothing to lose, those who come from longing for
something profoundly different, something profoundly
better. Will the future be shaped by those who come
from daring to lift their sights to a world free of
oppression and full of life, vibrancy and struggle?”

(From “Delivering the NO! At the RNC: The battle for a
revolutionary summation” by Phillip Watts, posted on
rwor.org)

Who we are: The CRWAC is a newly formed group of young
writers, artists, and thinkers. As authors of a new
revolutionary culture, we make art in this tradition;
we write for the Revolutionary Worker newspaper
(rwor.org); and we are proud to follow the
groundbreaking and wildly liberating vision of Bob
Avakian (Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist
Party) who is blazing a whole new path for a vibrant,
lively communist world that we would all want to live
in.
