The founding fathers described a plan that might shorten the war.

There are many underlying reasons for the war. One of the important causes of the war is because over the last 60 years, the U. S. government had confrontational foreign policies that encouraged the attacks on 9-11.



Over 200 years ago, the authors of the Declaration of Independence outlined an important idea about what steps they might take if confronted with the war today.



They wrote, "Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness."



"It is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security."



The important phrase in the Declaration of Independence is "to provide new guards for their future security." It other words, a possible solution to shorten the war is the "changing of the guard."



There is already a slow turnover of politicians. The "changing of the guard" simply speeds up the process. It is up to American voters to take charge of shortening the war with a full scale "changing of the guard" on election day. New leaders should be given a chance to seek peace.



Americans should also be encouraged to submit their best ideas NOW about other solutions to end the war. It is in the national interest to implement the best plan, which may be the "changing of the guard." Analyzing peace plans NOW is a high priority for our national security.



It is worth attempting the best peace plan or the orderly transition of the "changing of the guard" to prevent the possible full scale attacks before the election or inauguration, which will be followed by decades of war.



Please consider reporting these suggestions, which may result in peace for our country instead of a possible 50 to 100 year war.

P. S. A government report recently called for broad reforms in foreign policy. A good foreign policy is peace. America should change from "might makes right" to "right makes might."
