Mayor Daley has announced plans to unleash a massive wave of surveillance cameras across Chicago. The wave is billed as a boon for emergency medical services and crime prevention. But no provisions are being made as to surveillance abuse or privacy invasion, nor are considerations being raised as to how such a network could be used against protests or
political organizers.
