Open University of the Left presents educator, historian and political activist T. Quinn Brisben, who will discuss Jack London's novel "The Iron Heel" Thursday, August 19, at 7 PM at Acme Arts Center, 1741 N. Western Ave. in Chicago. Donation is $5 or whatever you can. A general discussion will follow Brisben's talk. "The Iron Heel", one of London's lesser known works of fiction, describes the vain efforts of Chicago's laborers and factory workers during the early part of the 20th century to revolt against the city's industrial establishment.
