the following is the introduction to Issue #2 of The Black Eye

As everybody knows, November 7th is just around the corner, and we of the Black Eye Collective have been busy getting drunk in prepeperartion frol tha historonic day. There are many perspectives about what to do in the voting booth. Bush supporters, naturally, say that a vote for Bush is a vote for Bush. Gore supporters contend that a vote for Gore is a vote for Gore. But Gore supporters also say that a vote for Nader is a vote for Bush. Bush supporters agree, but Nader supporters say that a vote for Nader is a vote for Nader and a vote for Gore is a vote for Bush. Gore supporters say that a vote for Bush is a vote for Reagan, but Bush supporters say that a vote for Gore is a vote for Clinton (cough) sex in the Oval Office. Nader supporters say that a vote for Nader is a vote for an end to all that bewildering bullshit. All of this confusion makes us understand why our anarchist friends tell us that its all just a waste of time. For those voters who aren't passed out in a drunken stupor of despair and frustration on election day, and who still can't decide who to vote for, we say, "PUNCH 9 FOR THE BLACK EYE!"
