Voices from the movement against police torture and wrongful convictions

Public forum on Monday, July 12
6:30 p.m.
Voices from the movement against police torture and wrongful convictions

The movement against police torture and wrongful convictions has a long history and deep roots in Chicago. Countless Black and Latino victims of beatings and torture remain imprisoned today, even though many others have been released following years of struggle by their families and communities. Following the death of activist May Molina in police custody, what is the future of this movement?

Join us for an important panel discussion with three distinguished activists: Mary L. Johnson of Families of the Wrongfully Convicted
and Citizens Alert; Mildred Henry of Enough Is Enough!; and Yvette Cruz of the Comite Exigimos Justicia.

News and Letters library, 36 S. Wabash, Room 1440 (Chicago loop).
