Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, local school reformers, civil rights activists,
Chicago Teachers Union leaders called on the members of the Board of Education to reject
Chicago Public Schools’ CEO
Arne Duncan’s plan to close ten schools and eight
Child Parent Centers, and block freshman enrollment at two high schools. The concerned stakeholders, working together through the
Neighborhood Capital Budget Group, held a press conference before the CPS Board meeting, demanding 'THROW AWAY YOUR
