Now that the issue of torture is an international incident the time is ripe to put our agenda on the table. Let’s hit the streets and talk about young Black men hooked to walls, electro shocked, suffocated, beaten, shot in the back of the head, unarmed; Black and Latino men and women, harassed and Black, being Black.

Let’s show the world how the same racist scapegoating and marginalizing techniques that persist against Arabs in the Middle East are perpetuated on a daily basis right here in Chicago.

Our rally will begin at 4:00PM at Federal Plaza. At 5:00PM we’ll march on City Hall.

In a gesture towards SOLIDARITY AFTER OUR OWN RALLY HAS ENDED, we’ll join Palestinian protesters who happen to be rallying on the same day at the same time against torture abroad, at the Israeli Consulate. At 5:30, after we’ve rallied at City Hall, we’ll join with Palestinian at the State of Illinois building, and in an _expression of unity and solidarity, we’ll light candles and have a moment of silence for all of the United State’s torture victims, at home and abroad!

Stand up for human rights and against terror in all its forms.

Enough is Enough!
