Free Housing Fair For Community
Are you interested in fighting gentrification? Are you interested in learning more about affordable housing? Want to know your rights as a tenant or landlord? Join us on June 12th, 2004 for this housing fair. Free admission and parking!
As the Latino population in the City of Chicago increases year after year, Latinos United, a non-profit advocacy organization has been working to ensure Latino access to housing within the Chicago Housing Authority and the City of Chicago Department of Housing. It has also been working for access to Fair Housing in the Private Market--conducting fair housing education and enforcement with a focus on the Chicago area Latino community. LU has also been working within general housing policy and advocacy--Representing the Latino voice and perspective in housing policy debates to increase the affordable housing supply.
Please support our work! Come out to this event! There will be live poetry and rap from neighborhood residents as well as interactive workshops and informational booths for those interested in learning more about fair housing.
