10/28 meeting, 11/2 protest: Paul Vallas Welcomes Corporate Drug Pushers

Mad Lib & others protest the Children & Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder conference in Chicago Nov. 2
Mad Lib's meeting to finalize plans on the following protest will be held on SATURDAY, 10/28, at the Chicago Cultural Center, Randolph & Washington, from 3:00-5:00. Use the Randolph entrance & go past Corner Bakery to the big center room; hopefully their Halloween event will be finished by then.

WHY IS THE CHICAGO SCHOOL SYSTEM WELCOMING CORPORATE DRUG PUSHERS?
RESIST PSYCHIATRY’S WAR ON KIDS: PROTEST CHADD
KIDS NEED RESPECT, NOT RITALIN!

Since 1987, the organization Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder has vigorously promoted the false “illness” of ADHD and drug “treatment” as a solution. They’re funded in large part by the makers of psychiatric drugs, including Ritalin. With the theme of “Diversity, Equity, Empowerment” at their 2000 conference, they’ve set their sights on diagnosing and drugging millions of “underserved” Black and Latino kids and girls. And CHADD’s new CEO, Clarke Ross, is a former lobbyist for the for-profit psych hospital industry—a man whose job assured that the routine deaths in those institutions escaped investigation.

ADHD has never been proven to be “biochemical” or “genetic.” Ritalin only “works” for short-term control of children, and hurts kids’ developing brains and bodies. “ADHD” is a convenient way for schools and society to cover up their flaws by labeling kids. Which is why it’s so alarming that the CEO of Chicago Public Schools, Paul Vallas, is the “welcoming” speaker. Let CHADD and Chicago schools know they can’t get away with this chemical warfare against children!
