DePaul Has lack of Debate

Anti-war group barred from debate about war.
Debate.doc
Please foreward this message far and wide.

At DePaul University in Chicago, The DePaul Democrats and the DePaul Republicans believe they can debate about the war in Iraq without the only student group on DePauls campus that has actively opposed the war and occupation- DePaul Students Against the War (DSAW). Just like the 2000 presidential debates when progressive and radical views were excluded from the debate, we have seen both groups go out of their way to exclude DSAW. Members of DSAW were lied to and told that the debate wasn't going to be about Iraq by the DePaul Democrats, and kicked out of a meeting of the DePaul Republicans for suggesting that DSAW join the debate.

We are encouraging every concerned person, especially youth and students from around Chicago, to attend the debate on April 12, at 5:00 at the Schmidt Academic Center room 161 on DePaul's Lincoln Park campus. Bring the questions that they can't answer without agreeing with each other, whether it be Palestine, Iraq, the war on drugs, or equal marriage rights.

If you are not able to attend the debate, we encourage you to e-mail the DePaul Democrats, DePaul Republicans and DePaul's Political Science Student Association and complain about radical voices being kept out of the debate at:
