In order to prevent the Black Bloc tactic from stagnating, we've designed this score card to help keep anarchist tactics fun, creative, and empowering.

BLACK BLOC SCORE CARD

In order to prevent the Black Bloc tactic from stagnating, we've designed this score card to help keep anarchist tactics fun, creative, and empowering.

There are a few rules to using this scorecard. First, all tactics must be original. Anything that's been used on a large scale before is automatically disqualified. This includes molotov cocktails, rocks, paint bombs, slingshots, and anything else that has become part of the standard protest kit. Second, only use this scorecard in conjunction with your affinity group. Please practice good security culture. And third, don't get caught!

There are four categories of scoring. Each tactic should be evaluated based on Creativity, Effectiveness, Organization, and Non-Violence. Each category is weighted differently, so you may want to choose your tactics accordingly.

So, get together with your affinity group, print out a bunch of score-cards, and start thinking up tactics. Get creative, and crazy, and once your AG decides on one, practice it as much as possible. The idea is if every AG comes to the next protest with one new Black Bloc tactic or direct action that the police have never seen before, we can keep them running without things ever degrading into the routine street fighting that we (and the cops) have seen a plenty of times before.
