Come Join the Walk Against War!!
One Year Anniversary of the Declared War Against Iraq!!
(and the take over of Lake Shore Drive)
Due to the U.S. government's declaration of war against Iraq, on March 20, 2003, an estimated 15,000 Chicagoans marched in the streets of downtown, along with acts of opposition across the world. Fueled by their anger against the U.S. Government's decision to wage war, the march resulted in the take over of Lake Shore Drive. Not only are the Iraqi people still suffering, but the U.S. government is slowly decreasing our ability to oppose their inhumane capitalist atrocities. One year later, the opposition is strong, our voices WILL be heard again!!

Come Walk Against:
The U.S. occupation and war against Iraq
The U.S. occupation of Afghanistan
The U.S. support of Israeli forces against the Palestinian people
The U.S. Government's anti-terrorist agenda, resulting in the decrease of civil rights and the unlawful surveillance and criminalization of non-citizens.

We encourage everyone to find a location nearest you on the map and be there Saturday March 20th at the estimated time to join us in the Walk Against War. We may be a few minutes late, so please be patient.

The Walk Against War is a 30 mile walk starting at the Southwest Side of Chicago, working its way to the large downtown Regional Anti-War March, starting @Water Tower & Michigan, working its way to the Federal Plaza rally. Along the way, we're encouraging people to meet, greet, AND join us at any of the rally points along the route. Think its over after that?? We're heading up north finishing in Wicker Park at an unknown time, due to the length of the large regional march.
