Chicago TSJ No Child Left Behind Study Group to meet...

The Chicago Teachers for Social Justice' No Child Left Behind Study Group will meet Sunday, Jan. 25th...
The TSJ NCLB Study Group will be:
Sunday, Jan 25 (sorry for the short notice!)
11-1
DePaul, Lincoln Pk Campus
Room TBA, watch your email or check web

These are the readings that we did in preparation for the last meeting. Anyone coming should try to read them if you have a minute, at least briefly.

We will continue to try to understand the broader political context of NCLB with the orientation of developing resource packets and collectively organizing school-based community forums on NCLB as a way of opposing it. Note that we will also be reading pro-NCLB literature to better understand those arguments and develop our own. The first piece below makes that point clear.

The first reading below (which we didn't read but planned to) is pro-NCLB.
