GLOBALIZE THE RESISTANCE!
Eyewitness accounts of the Genoa protests.

Thursday, July 26, 7:00 - 9:00pm
The Hot House 31 E. Balbo

The G-8 summit meeting in Genoa, Italy is where the richest and most powerful world leaders are getting together to celebrate the joys of the free market. But their celebration is at our expense - inequality and poverty grow as the rich get richer. According to the United Nations, the richest 225 people have as much wealth as the poorest 3 billion.

They will go to any length to protect their wealth and power - including murdering the protesters outside their meetings. As on Friday, July 20 when the police shot and killed a 20 year old protester on the streets of Genoa.

The obscene reality of the free market is the reason that tens of thousands are marching against the G-8 leaders in Italy this week. As the G-8 leaders wine, dine and discuss how to make corporations even wealthier, a different kind of summit is happening on the streets - one where the ordinary people are organizing to make a different kind of world possible.
