For the past several days, a poster calling himself JohnLocke has been trolling this web community. He tries to start arguments and upset people. He aims at disruption and aggravation. His comments are irrelevant at best and bullying at worst.

With all due respect to everyone's freedom of speech, even the troublemakers', responses to JohnLocke will only feed his hunger for the attention he's obviously not getting elsewhere. Individuals like him crave attention, and they care not whether it is positive or negative. They see the Internet as a mirror into which they can gaze in narcissistic rapture. For a deeper analysis than that, a psychologist can shed some additional light on the matter.

The only way to deal with trolls is to limit your reaction and reminding others not to respond to trolls.

When you try to reason with a troll, he wins. When you insult a troll, he wins. When you scream at a troll, he wins. The only thing that trolls can't handle is being ignored.

Please ignore him - he'll eventually starve.
