In two days, you will learn about basic worker rights and how to assist workers in filing complaints with government agencies as well as direct action and union organizing.

Day 1: Workers’ Compensation, Union Organizing, Direct Action Organizing and Day Labor Project

Day 2: FMLA Regulations, Overtime, Wage and Hour Matters, Health and Safety, Discrimination, and Day Labor Service Act

When: Thursday, September 6th and Friday, September 7th 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Where: Teamsters Local 705 Auditorium
1636 W. Van Buren
north of Polk/Medical Center stop on CTA Blue Line Train, 54/Cermak branch, behind 1645 W. Jackson, which is Teamsters Local 705

Cost: $25.00

Training sessions will be conducted in English by the Illinois Department of Labor, US Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), The Equal Employment Opportunities Commission (EEOC)
