Prostitutes or Sex Workers: A Chicago-area Women's Forum

The Progressive Chicago Women's Network is hosting this forum so that women may learn and discuss the pdifferent erspectives of prostitution/sex work.
With increasing social conservatism and continued repression of women and girls, from reproductive rights to welfare rights to living wages, the Progressive Chicago Women's Network is hosting a series of summer events to understand, dialogue, and work together to create fundamental positive changes for women and their families and communities.

Speakers include:
. Claudine O'Leary from Advocates for Prostituted Women and Girls willl discuss a two-year study on prostitution in the Chicago area
. A representative of the Midwest Immigrant and Human Rights Center will address sex trafficking of third world women to Chicago
. A representative of Mary McDowell House will speak about the sex trade in New City/Englewood and the perspective of African American women
