While this event will focus on the voices of Arabs and Muslims mobilizing against war and occupation, we urge ALL from outside these communities to lend your direct solidarity by joining the protest. This solidarity is particularly important given the political context which the Arab and Muslim communities find themselves in -- racial profiling by Ashcroft's Justice Department and a barrage of other racist abuse during the war.

The protest will begin at 3 pm, Saturday, April 12th at the intersection of 63rd Street & Homan. Bus transportation is being arranged from the Logan Square walk for peace earlier that day (the Logan Square event will be assembling at 12 noon at the Square, at the intersection Milwaukee, Kedzie and Logan Boulevard). The demands of the march and rally are:

* End the War on Iraq;

* End the Occupation of Palestine and Support the Right of Return;

* Stop the Attacks On Our Communities on the Southwest Side of Chicago; and,

* Stop the Recruitment of our Black and Latino Youth to Fight in America's Wars.
