Living here in America (my first 40 years so far) and seeing this steady decline in real Journalistic Integrity has been a frightening experience. I've watched as the phony leaders of this country have bought, sold, and stolen our Liberty. The most unfortunate thing about this situation, is the American "news" media has not only aided the propaganda machine of the very rich, they have allowed themselves to be bought out and swayed by it.

To see TV anchors and reporters of this war, the American wars of the last 25 years, our own domestic problems in a light that the super-rich white men wish this world and its peoples is nothing but criminal. It's bad enough to see the younger members of the media behave like this. They grew up in this Great American Tragedy. But to see the older "journalists", the ones who should know more than anyone how easy it is to manipulate and omit facts when they control the airwaves and "free press", is absolutely shameful. The ones who saw first hand, the sacrifices everyday people have made all over the planet for the Common Good.

They have allowed the White House, most notably since the Reagan Administration, to tell them what will be printed or broadcast. They have been a major factor in not only allowing this war to be carried out, but reinvigorating so much of what the Right in this country want all of us to fear. Their own fears. Minorities, women, other nations, other religions, social-political-sexual freedoms, economic fairness in the workplace, a more fair (or actually reviewed and actually legal) income tax. The list goes on and on, all the things that the super rich wish to maintain and keep us all ignorant of.

And as usual, they will do anything to maintain their grip on us all. Killing our Constitution, stealing the White House, and undermining the Checks and Balances of our governing body.

The Reagan Years (and onward) have allowed them to buy up all major outlets for news and entertainment media. Using the media they now own, they also (more than ever before) have effectively taken control of our government, nationally and locally.

Only the independent media (left, right, or center) have been covering important issues fairly. Only they have made efforts to report on the real terror in the world and not create new ones based on the psychological limitations of extremely rich Masters.
