If you were arrested (as I was for 28 hours, Area 2, Containment Cell A, Cell Block I), we need to pool our resources and speak out.

First thing I did after being released was get all the major Friday papers, and let me tell you, it is sick. The Chicago Tribune was the closest to being fair, but even they took the police statement that everyone who was arrested had a chance to leave and chose to stay.

ALL OF US need to speak with one voice against these lies in the media and against these bullshit police tactics to begin with. We will not be "scared straight," we will be fucking heard.

We have to keep pouring our energy into the movement, and we need to make sure these sorts of abuses do not go unnoticed. I want to start this now, before the police markings on our hands wash off.

We need to discuss how to fight these repressive tactics (which do impact the movement...the 800+ of us who were in jail would've otherwise been in the streets on Friday).
