I was at today's rally, and, chalk one up to the opposition, we lost.

In the sweep of world attention, it mattered little today. But it will matter tomorrow. Credit has to be given, that their "protest?" was impressive, in that hundreds of American flags, all waving in unison, does create an impression. Now it didn't help, that the police parked their buses in front of us, so that only their protest could be seen.

But regardless, there should be MORE American Flags in the Anti War demonstrations.
Why?
Because it would be smart.
It would look good. It would make the anti war sentiment look like a patriotic sentiment (which it is!).

And it would co opt their symbol. (and why should the American flag only belong to them?)

Think about it.

I think it would be a smart thing to do.
and being right isn't enough, we've got to be smart.
