Sorry to clutter up the newswire with this....I am a relative novice when it comes to protesting. I would like to do jail solidarity for those who have been arrested but I don't know exactly what that entails. I have seen the term used here and I get the general idea, but I'd like to have concrete explanations.

I imagine that more people will be arrested tonight and I planned to dedicate my weekend to doing solidarity because I am unable to attend the demo. Should I bring food or drinks for people? Blankets? Will the cops give me shit for being there? I'd just like to know so I can be prepared. If someone who has done it before could explain what to do, I'd be grateful. Thanks.
