A Short Resource Guide for Direct Action against the War

With war only days away, now's the time to form your affinity groups and begin to finalize your plans for direct action against the war machine. Look for a local 'action menu' with tasty suggestions and possible locations for direct action throughout Chicago as part of the citywide emergency response.

Update: The UK corporate press is now reporting that British troops have already been told that the invasion of Iraq will start on March 17..with the air campaign beginning 4 days earlier..Thursday, March 13. Whether these dates are accurate or not, it's safe to say that war is only days..not weeks..away.

Chicago Citywide Emergency Response Plan

  • If the U.S. launches an all-out attack on Iraq -- now increasingly likely in the next few days or weeks -- a citywide emergency mobilization will take place at 5 pm at the Federal Plaza, Adams and Dearborn Streets, Chicago, the day the bombing begins, with a follow up protest at the same time and place the day after.
