MARCH ON THE MEDIA!!

Bush Lied About WMD –

Don't let the Corporate Media Forget about it!

Newsweek reports in its March 3, 2003 issue that the U.S.’s PRIME SOURCE of information on Iraq’s WMD stated:

“All weapons – biological, chemical, missile, nuclear were destroyed.”

Bush’s Prime Source: Hussein Kamel - Iraqi General, Former Director of Iraq’s Military Industrial Commission, and Saddam Hussein’s Son-in-Law!

"Hussein Kamel, the highest-ranking Iraqi official ever to defect from Saddam Hussein's inner circle, told CIA and British intelligence officers and U.N. inspectors in the summer of 1995 that after the Gulf War, Iraq destroyed all its chemical and biological weapons stocks and the missiles to deliver them."

– Newsweek 3/3/03

Bush, Cheney, and Powell all cite Kamel’s defection and testimony as evidence of Iraq’s non-compliance with inspections and disarmament – Yet their own source told UN, US, and UK Officials that Iraq has no Weapons of Mass Destruction!

Why aren’t most major U.S. newspapers or national television news covered this?

Act Now! Contact the Media and demand further coverage of this story!

Sample Letter:

PLEASE SEND THIS LETTER TO ALL THE MAJOR MEDIA OUTLETS! (See Contact List Below)

To the Editor:

The Bush Administration’s main witness about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction told UNSCOM and IAEA Officials that all the weapons have been destroyed! Newsweek also reported that this information was conveyed to the CIA and British intelligence.

Newsweek (3/3/03) reported that this witness, Hussein Kamel, was the Iraqi General and Weapons Chief who defected in 1995 and that he said, “after the Gulf War, Iraq destroyed all its chemical and biological weapons stocks and the missiles to deliver them.”

This is a major revelation that directly contradicts the Bush Administration pretext for war. This story deserves major investigation and coverage.

For months now, George Bush, Dick Cheney, Colin Powell and Tony Blair have all used Kamel's testimony as proof of the existence of weapons of mass destruction, yet a transcript of Kamel’s interview with the UN clearly states the opposite.

The obvious question is yet to be answered: Why are the obvious contradictions of the Bush and Blair Administrations unexamined? For all logical appearances, the President has lied to the world in order to start a war! Why isn’t this story receiving greater coverage? Why aren’t stories like this receiving proper coverage?

Give this important story the type of coverage and investigation that a major story deserves!!

I found the Newsweek article here: http://www.msnbc.com/news/876128.asp and the Kamel transcript and the references by the Bush Administration and Tony Blair here: http://middleeastreference.org.uk/kamel.html http://middleeastreference.org.uk/kamel.html
