The AZone is inviting Si Si Donald Mosby to begin his series of talks based on his up coming novel “the 8ht day of creation”. The novel traces the struggle among people of African decent since 1441 when the Portuguese raiders stormed into West Africa at a placed dubbed Guinea.

The Talk will be held Sunday, Feb 23rd at 3:00pm as part of Black History month.

Si Si will continue his presentation on the struggle of African American people from his novel during the slave trade, up until the present state of political, social and economic oppression.

Subsequent talks with Si Si are scheduled for March 9th, 23rd and also in April (tba).

Si Si Donald Mosby is a photojournalist artist, historian, educator, and former reporter of the Chicago Daily Defender.

Si Si has given several talks at the azone on such subjects as the history of the Black Panther Party, the African American migration from the south to Chicago and the political movement for fair housing during the 1960’s.
