About 15 activists held a peace vigil at Hollywood & Sheridan on Wednesday, February 12th from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. We held 2 large "No War" signs and a 40 foot long banner describing the worth of a stealth bomber. We received a positive response from nearly half of the motorists. (article 5)
Neighbors for Peace held an anti-war vigil Wednesday, February 12th at end of Lake Shore Drive, near the corners of Sheridan & Hollywood.
The third such vigil in the last 3 weeks, 15 activists got the motorists' attention by holding two large "No War" signs, while others held "Honk for Peace" signs from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. Daniel brought a 40 foot long banner that read: "1 Stealth Bomber, $1.157 Billion = 7,713 Affordable Homes."
Dave Trippel from N4P & NION constructed the amazing signs, with "No" on one panel and "War" on another, each section is on a 4' by 8' canvas, and the letters are 40" tall. They are light but very sturdy, and can be easily read from quite far away.
Included are 5 pictures taken today, there are more at the N4P website.
