If I Were a Revolutionary...

If I Were a Revolutionary...
If I Were A Revolutionary

by Anonymous

If I were a revolutionary,
I'd gather the shadows of this land
and make a black rain cloud to wash away
the tears of a million doves
who wish for nothing but Today
for I'd understand the difference
between the sea and the storm
and boil the waters between
with a lightning rod.

For if I were a revolutionary,
I'd have seen already
that a thousand stones
won't cast any hope for
the occluded garden;
whether they crush the cap
of police or soldier:
brothers' blood
brings no peace.

If I were a revolutionary,
I'd know the enemy
and I would win the fight
for I would understand
that Achilles' heel
is not where the armor is strongest,
but, where the foundation rests:
the root of evil.

If I were a revolutionary,
I'd tell you what would work
and not waste time
soliciting hangmen and judges
by prostituting freedom
with polite protests
while there are no consequences
for mass murderers.

If I were a revolutionary,
I'd teach you to choose
between the active debt
of a few diabolical lives
and the passive responsibility
for the innocent millions
who die
if you lack courage.

If I were a revolutionary,
I'd carry out the assassination
of the CEO's and Chairmen
of the companies
that you know are responsible
for the wars and cruelty;
as well as the pompous politicians
who do great harm to innocents:
they will account for their actions.

If I were a revolutionary,
I'd demonstrate how with some gasoline
and better things
you can turn the hoardes of the empire
into wickermen
sacrificed for the ignoble deeds
by which
they were begotten;
billions of dollars burnt to the ground
is the cost of slavery.

If I were a revolutionary,
I'd order the enemy
to stop the war machine
or else
THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES:
the rich will die
boiled in their own blood
while their wealth evaporates
like their imaginary inviolability.

If I were a revolutionary,
I'd set fire to the stock market,
I'd bomb Wall Street,
I'd take the media hostage,
I'd level the courthouses,
I'd hand out machetes, hatchets, and bats
to the underclass
and we'd realize
that we outnumber them
ten thousand to one.

If I were a revolutionary,
I would show you how freedom can be won
and advise you thusly:
to not martyr yourself
but become stronger
and not lose
any battle.

Yes, if I were a revolutionary,
I'd not turn my back on the innocents
those not yet born,
those who love goodness,
all who are innocent
no matter what difference
physically or culturally;
I'd love all who are innocent
and show ruth and mercy to all who
give up wrongdoing.

We shall see.
