My DC photos : The aura of the crowd fills me with love and hope.

Deep down, it feel good to know you're making a difference. (article 8)
I was a million times more excited to go to DC this weekend then I was last time... and that's saying a lot considering I was super crazy excited on October 26. This time around, I was going to take the world's best pictures and scream louder then I had ever screamed in my life. I was well on my way to having the best day of my life since I had already accomplished my goal of bringing at least one new person all the way to DC with me.
Rallying and marching with hundreds of thousands of peaceful, like minded people all in the same place at the same time feels good deep down. Each and every singe person is making a positive impact on the world. The aura of the crowd livens me up. It fills my heart with love and hope.
There was only one hitch to in my plan. I was carrying only one camera. When, an hour into the rally, my camera back snapped off with no way to repair it, it was a disaster. Nonetheless, I mostly stayed in the spirit of things… I sang and chanted and yelled extra loud all day to make up for not being able to capture the world’s best photographs.
Besides the camera incident, my DC experience was amazing. The best part was marching arm in arm with my best friend. I feel proud to have been there, and especially proud to have experienced it all with Amanda.
Here are some photos that I managed to take in the first hour of the rally. I hope you enjoy them!
