SOA arrests -- final count
Sunday, November 17 -- 5 p.m.

Bill Quigley, attorney for SOA Watch, reported that 97 people crossed the line today and were arrested by military police. Eighteen people are currently in Muscogee County Jail. They will all be moved to county jails tonight. Whether or not they are placed in Muscogee County or another jail depends on how many spaces are available in which facilities. Quigley expressed concern about whether or not there would be enough spaces for the women who were arrested because Muscogee County jail doesn’t usually house many women. All 97, including the minors, will spend the night in county jail until their hearing tomorrow.
