RPCAN Walkathon-Rogers Park-Saturday, Oct.7

Support Struggling Communities in Chicago's Northside!
Join the RPCAN walkathon this Saturday, October 7,
starting about 10 a.m. at Leone Park, Touhy and Sheridan
The Rogers Park Community Action Network (RPCAN) invites you to join the annual RPCAN walkathon this Saturday, October 7, starting about 10 a.m. at Leone Park, Touhy and Sheridan. The walk will highlight some local businesses we prefer over Starbucks and the like, and the situation on Morse Avenue, ripe for greedy developers to push everybody out. We've focused a lot of energy north of Howard, where we even have a lawsuit to protect tenants from eviction as the alderman wants to give a former Peoples Housing
building, owned by HUD and being turned over to the city (THAT'S US!), from going to expensive condos. That's what Alderman Joe Moore wants, but the long-time tenants don't want to leave their community. The walkathon takes us to the middle and south of Rogers Park. Worth saving,we think!

We welcome everyone this Saturday!
