LIPA (Links for International Promotion of the Arts) announces the opening of a new exhibit: NEW WORKS - NEW EUROPE. EVENT DATE: FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2002
6 - 9 PM: OPENING RECEPTION
4 - 6 PM: Join us for a Discussion about the Role of the artist in today's society.
Exhibit runs November 15 - December 21, 2002

Group show presenting artwork by faculty from art academies in three former Yugoslav countries: Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. This effort testifies that art can be used as cultural enlightenment and as a tool in building bridges among artists themselves, their countries and the larger world. Artists from the region not only help to recreate a more civil society, but also serve as leaders and pioneers on that path.

The participating artists work in a variety of media including painting, printmaking, photography, aerography, video installation, animation, sculpture, digital imagery, etc. and have exhibited their work internationally.

PARTICIPATING ARTISTS:

ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS IN LJUBLJANA (SLOVENIA):
