Emergency actions in response to the late-night Thursday war vote by the Senate!

AFSC has made provisional plans for a peace protest at 12 noon TODAY (Friday, 10/11) at the Federal Plaza, Adams & Dearborn Streets, Chicago. People should CALL AFSC at 312-427-2533 and confirm that this protest is still on (the vote came very late Friday night, and AFSC had provisionally planned to mobilize for noon only if the Bush war resolution passed by midnight. The vote was finalized just after midnight.)

Local peace groups are also calling for an EMERGENCY Anti-war Protest and Candle-Light Vigil TODAY, FRIDAY at 4:30 PM at Tribune Plaza in the 400 block of north Michigan Ave. (just north of the Chicago River) Bring candles, banners, posters, signs, and as many of your friends and neighbors as you can.

Re the provisional noon protest, you can also contact Tom Webb, Iraq Pledge of Resistance coordinator, at 312-427-2533, ext. 38 for more info.
