Gretta Duisenberg Accused of Anti-Semitism

Charges are being filed against Gretta Duisenberg, wife of the president of the European Central Bank, for alleged anti-Semitism.

One of the country's most prominent lawyers, who is Jewish, filed suit against Ms Duisenberg on behalf of the Jewish community because of remarks she made on the radio.

Ms Duisenberg is collecting signatures for a pro-Palestinian petition called "Stop the occupation". When asked how many signatures she hoped to collect, she replied: "six million", and laughed. The lawyer says she was referring to the six million Jews killed by the Nazis during World War Two.
