"In what way is AIPAC different from other Jewish groups? … Your organization has but one burning desire, one exclusive goal - to help Israel. … But if I may better phrase a popular aphorism - everything is in one's obsession. And yours, thank God, is Israel."
-Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel

"(The) convergence between the support of the U.S. government for Israel and the support of the American Jewish community for Israel has an identity card. The name on that card is AIPAC."
-Former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin

These quotes were taken directly from the website of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, better known as AIPAC. The organization has but one goal and that is to help Israel - at the expense of the best interests of any other nation, including the United States - and at the expense of human rights.

AIPAC's mission is not only to alter the political makeup of our legislature but also to function as an extension of the Israeli government in the media, religious communities, and on college campuses. In its ceaseless promotion of Israel's policies, numerous American civic and religious leaders and especially academics have been defamed and effectively silenced for speaking out against Israel's actions.

The massive economic and military support, as well as the diplomatic cover, provided by the United States with the encouragement of AIPAC enables Israel to continue its 54 year long occupation of Palestine and the oppression of the Palestinian people.

In opposition to virtually all the nations of the world, AIPAC is actively promoting a U.S. war against Iraq, a war entirely to the benefit of Israel's government. It is understood in all quarters that a war on Iraq will permit Israel the time and political space to accelerate its policy of ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.

AIPAC has in Alabama, Georgia and elsewhere this year coordinated campaigns to remove congressional candidates that it determines have shown less than unconditional support for Israel.

We cannot stand by silently in the face of this assault on our democracy and the human rights of all people. Human rights must come before national aspirations and U.S. policy should be determined by what is best for our country, not what is best for a foreign nation.

We want to send a message to the American public, on the street and in the media, that their tax-dollars are being employed to further suffering and injustice, to promote violence and racial division.

We therefore gather outside the location of the AIPAC conference to call for:
