State Rep. Larry McKeon, one of Chicago's few openly gay politicians, goes on public record as anti-free speech and opposing political protest. He says that because members of a neighborhood association in the 47th ward engaged in political protest he is withdrawing previously promised funds from the association. In response, the neighborhood group excludes and disavows its activist members, who also happen to be the association's only open lesbians.
