Momentum is building for the kick-off meeting on a Northwest Suburban chapter of SUSTAIN (Stop U.S. Tax-Funded Aid To Israel Now!). The meeting will be held at the Palatine Public Library on Tuesday, August 13th in meeting
room #2 from 7:00-8:30PM.
On Tuesday, August 13th, a meeting has been organized in Palatine to explore the possibility of forming a Northwest suburban chapter of SUSTAIN (Stop U.S. Tax-Funded Aid To
Israel Now!).The meeting will be held at the Palatine Public
Library located at 700 N. North Court (near Rt. 14 & Hicks
Road). The event will be held in meeting room #2 on the first floor and will begin at 7:00pm.

Mahmud Ahmad of the Free Palestine Alliance will be the featured speaker on the program. Mahmud is a dynamic advocate for Palestinian rights.

Kevin Clark, long-time Chicago activist and former coordinator of Amnesty International Group 259, will serve
as facilitator. Clark has received strong indications that
there will be several members of Islamic faith communities
in the Northwest suburbs attending the meeting.

Those attending the meeting will be urged to take an active
role in forming a local chapter of SUSTAIN and participating
in the Caterpillar campaign that was announced recently on
Chicago Indymedia.

Anyone desiring more information on the August 13th meeting is asked to send an e-mail to: SUSTAINnwburbs (at) aol.com
