Illinois! You can vote against corporate welfare and for social
and environmental justice at the ballot box this November.

Conceding that the Nader campaign had more than the
required minimum 25,000 valid signatures, the Dems finally
withdrew their objections late this afternoon at a
Board of Elections hearing in Chicago.

Next week, upon the recommendation of the hearing officer in the
case, the Illinois State Board Of Elections is expected to certify the
Nader-LaDuke team's place on the Illinois ballot.

Dozens of volunteers, more than 150 in all, dedicated
three weeks defending these signatures Monday through Friday,
9 to 5 at Board of Election offices in Chicago, Springfield,
Waukegan and Wheaton--and nearly as much time helping to
comb through volumes of undecipherable and irrational challenges
in my living and dining rooms on the futon, unstable tables and
bare floors. Now the people of Illinois have a choice
worth voting for this election day--a message to send from the
ballot box by voting for a ticket that's anti-WTO, anti-IMF,
pro-Living Wage, pro Universal Healthcare, anti-Death Penalty
(although not anti corporate death penalty :) ....

October 10, Nader comes to Chicago for a rally at the UIC pavilion.
It looks like Michael Moore, John B. Anderson, Studs Turkel and
possibly Winona LaDuke and others may show as well.

As Nader corrected the Green delegates chanting
"Go, Ralph Go!" four years ago--"The intonation should be
go WE go! Go WE go!"
