M 21-22: CHICAGO PROTESTS CONTINUE: Emergency Anti-War Protests Continue throughout the Weekend

Friday evening saw thousands gather again in Federal Plaza - this time ringed by hundreds of baton wielding riot police - for a march through downtown.
M-22: Saturday's noontime action brought hundreds out to Federal Plaza - this time to challenge the messages proffered at a pro-war rally organized by right-wing media giant, Clear Channel WorldWide. Chicago riot cops were out in force again, this time equipped with large pepper spray (OC) dispensers - which they aimed at anti-war protesters, many with small children - despite the steel barricades and police lines dividing the two plaza rallies.
